ABRASION TESTER for NATURAL STONES and CONCRETE TILES
CODE : R197
The Abrasion Tester for Natural Stones and Concrete Tiles is used to evaluate the abrasion resistance of natural stones and concrete tiles under standardized conditions.
The test involves subjecting the specimen's surface to abrasive action using a rotating disc and specified abrasive material, simulating real-world wear scenarios.
The apparatus comprises a wide abrasion disc, a storage hopper for abrasive material, a clamping trolley to hold the specimen, and a counterweight system to apply consistent pressure.
The abrasion disc, with a diameter of 200 mm and thickness of 70 mm, rotates at 75 revolutions per minute, ensuring uniform abrasion across the specimen surface.
A mobile clamping trolley, mounted on bearings, is propelled towards the rotating disc by a 14 kgf counterweight, maintaining consistent contact during testing.
The abrasive material used is white fused alumina (corundum) with a grit size of F80, providing reliable and repeatable test results, which should be ordered separately.
